Contents I availed myself of the locksmith from the Services of a "Hibnam" shop whom I had taken with me. This man at first was of opinion that the chest could not be opened but with a duplicate Key which he said he could not make having only the impression of the key hole and the depths of the wards.
On Monday the 4th Instant, however, upon examination with me, I find he was able to open the Chest with a flexible metallic wire, which I herewith beg to forward.
All circumstances taken into Consideration I beg to say that I cannot venture an opinion as to which of the two modes was used to rob the money viz whether by duplicate Key or by a wire.
